Park Plaza Hotels is pleased to announce that it has successfully acquired Park Plaza Leeds and Park Plaza Nottingham. Until this acquisition both hotels were operated under management agreements.

Carlson Completes Acquisition of Key Indian Partner
Carlson, a privately-owned, global hospitality and travel company, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of the majority interest in RHW Hotel Management Services Ltd (RHW). Pursuant to the announcement it had made on January 13, 2010, Carlson now owns 87% of RHW. RHW is a leading hotel management and consultancy services company in India that has successfully managed Carlson-branded hotels in the country since 1998.

Carlson Hotels Achieves Key Milestones During First 100 Days of Ambition 2015 Growth Plan
Carlson Hotels, one of the world’s leading hotel companies, today reported on the significant progress made in the first 100 days of its long-term Ambition 2015 growth plan. Most notably, Carlson Hotels reported that investments committed to the Radisson strategy in North America already exceed USD 350 million. This includes the introduction of the upper upscale Radisson Blu international brand to the U.S. as well as property improvements to align the current U.S. portfolio with global upscale standards. Fifty percent of the existing U.S. Radisson portfolio has committed to the new standards, just 100 days after they were announced.

Carlson Becomes Majority Shareholder of The Rezidor Hotel Group
Carlson, a privately held, global hospitality and travel company, announced today that the company has acquired additional shares of The Rezidor Hotel Group AB (REZT.SK), listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange in Stockholm. The acquisition brings Carlson’s total ownership of outstanding shares in Rezidor to 50.1%.

Formosa International Hotels Corporation to acquire Regent Luxury Hotel Business From Carlson and The Rezidor Hotel Group AB

Renovation Park Plaza Vondelpark, Amsterdam Completed
After three months of renovation and restyling, Park Plaza Vondelpark, Amsterdam re-launched officially yesterday. The hotel was also awarded four star status by NHC (Dutch Hotel Classification). European design and art were the inspiration for this transformation, architects AbrahamsCrielaers stated this in the hotel’s interior with prominent showpieces and contemporary murals. Technology solutions such as WIFI and IP TV have been incorporated, but the highlight of the makeover is undoubtedly the brand new V Bar & Lounge.
